TOPS System - Product Overview
The patented TOPS™ System is designed to alleviate persistent leg and low back pain associated with moderate to severe spinal stenosis with or without grade I spondylolisthesis and facet arthrosis.  The degenerative cascade in the posterior elements typically leads surgeons to perform a wide decompression, i.e., removal of the lamina and medial facet joints that press on nerve roots.  Traditionally, fusion instrumentation is then implanted to stabilize the spine.

As a result, the patient loses segmental motion.  Impliant is offering a true paradigm shift.  The TOPS™ System allows
the surgeon to establish stability without sacrificing motion.

The TOPS™ System has undergone extensively laboratory testing.
In addition, the device has been studied in prospective clinical trials.

Impliant develops spine arthroplasty solutions for motion preservation. The TOPS™ System is a non-fusion total posterior spine implant that addresses major degenerative spine diseases of the posterior spinal column.
